YOCOCU APS, in collaboration with CNR-ISAC, ICOM and Fondazione Ecosistemi is holding a pilot professional  course for  technical-scientific staff of the Galleria Borghese in Rome and the Italian  Ministry of Culture.

The course is scheduled in two days and is structured in the following laboratories:

May 24, Laboratory 1, GREEN PRODUCTS AND METHODS FOR CONSERVATIVE TREATMENTS ON CULTURAL HERITAGE (11:00-13:00; 14:00-16:00);
May 31, Laboratory 2, SUSTAINABLE APPROACH AND MANAGEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE (11:00-13:00; 14:00-16:00)

Joint ENVIMAT and Cultural Property Protection Summer School 2020

Tools and Strategies for Strengthening Resilience of Cultural Heritage in Climate Change

The online summer school is part of the EU Interreg Central Europe project STRENCH Strengthening
resilience of cultural heritage at risk in a changing environment through proactive transnational cooperation
,

which develops ready to use solutions for assessing climate change effects and protecting cultural heritage
and cultural landscapes.
Week 1 of the summer school introduces the topic of cultural heritage and its protection, featuring one short
lecture per day.
Week 2 is the main part of the summer school, focusing on climate change impact on cultural heritage,
vulnerability assessment methodologies and climate modelling. The participants of the summer school
acquaint themselves with the topic by means of theoretical lectures by international experts as well as
practical exercises, focusing on case study analyses.

MASTER: Meteorology and Physical Oceanography

CNR-ISAC is partner of the 2nd level Master in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography, which will be held in the academic year 2020/2021. The master is organized by the University of Salento and the Parthenope University to train experts in meteorology and physical oceanography.

Students who pass the final exam will receive the meteorologist certificate in accordance with the World Meteorological Organization.

Classes will start in November 2020 and will end in July 2021. The courses are divided into two semesters with two initial introductory modules. Students will be able to follow the courses in two classrooms, connected to each other, at the University of Salento in Lecce and the Parthenope University in Naples. It is also possible to follow the courses in streaming or offline from your own workstation.

The training activity includes an internship, with mainly professional and practical activities that can also be carried out in a context outside the University, and a thesis under the supervision of a qualified expert.

MASTER: Space missions science, design and application

CNR-ISAC is partner of the Master in Space missions science, design and application (SPICES), that will be held in the academic year 2020/2021. The master is organised by the University of Bologna to create new professionals in the space sector.

The master is for students graduated in engineering, physics, astrophysics, and in general to students graduated in all scientific degrees and of any nationality. The goal of the master is to form highly specialised personnel in the space sector, giving the fundamental information to understand all the phases of a space mission: the ideation, the projectual and development phase, the operation and the scientific return.

The lesson will be held in English, and during the master there will be a training period that could be spent working in the partner premises (including the CNR-ISAC groups involved in space research).
