SUMMER SCHOOL
The purpose of the various editions of the Castro Marina Summer School was to provide an overview of the current physical knowledge of the atmosphere both from a modeling and experimental point of view in various topics, such as turbulence, severe convective weather, precipitation and chemical transport models. The school is aimed primarily at PhD students, Masters students in atmospheric science, post-doc researchers, and operational meteorologists from regional and national meteorological agencies.

CNR-ISAC di Bologna, in collaborazione con l'Università della Calabria, organizza dal 2014 una scuola itinerante diretta a laureati, dottorandi, assegnisti e professionisti in discipline tecnico scientifiche, architetti, ingegneri, archeologi, restauratori e decision e policy makers, che a vario titolo lavorano nel campo della Conservazione del Patrimonio Culturale. La scuola tratta tematiche relative all’impatto dell’inquinamento e dei cambiamenti climatici su paesaggio culturale, complessi monumentali, resti archeologici costieri e subacquei, patrimonio architettonico e archeologia industriale. La lingua ufficiale è l’inglese e le lezioni vengono tenute da esperti internazionali.

Solar radiation based established techniques for atmospheric observations
Il programma della Summer School vuole offrire una panoramica dello stato dell’arte circa le tecniche basate sulla radiazione solare, puntando sia su una solida base teorica e su attività sperimentali pratiche. Agli studenti viene data anche la possibilità di utilizzare strumentazioni all’avanguardia, apprendendo la logica del loro design e del funzionamento.
