It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the final conference of the European project SCORE – Sustainable COnservation and REstoration of built cultural heritage, taking place on 30 (only for SCORE partners) and 31 (Open/public session) October 2025 at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) in Madrid.
Funded under the Horizon Europe programme, the SCORE project has brought together a multidisciplinary consortium of academic institutions, research centers, public bodies, and industry partners with the aim of developing innovative, sustainable, and scientifically grounded approaches to the conservation and restoration of built cultural heritage. In the face of increasing environmental pressures and climate change, SCORE has addressed the challenges related to material durability, energy efficiency, and the compatibility between traditional techniques and advanced technologies, promoting integrated and replicable solutions at the European level.
Over the course of these two days, project partners will present the main results achieved, the methodologies developed, the case studies analyzed, and future perspectives for the enhancement and protection of architectural heritage. The conference will also serve as a platform to foster dialogue among researchers, professionals, policy makers, and stakeholders in the field, with the goal of strengthening international cooperation and promoting a culture of sustainable conservation.
