CNR-ISAC is ready to host external users at the Mt. Cimone - Po Valley facility (ATMO-ACCESS)

Facility Cimone

The CNR-ISAC ATMO-ACCESS website has been activated. The purpose of the website is to provide information to foreign users who want to access the Mt. Cimone - Po Valley facility as part of the H2020 ATMO-ACCESS project. ATMO-ACCESS will deliver a series of recommendations for establishing a comprehensive and sustainable framework for access to distributed atmospheric Research Infrastructures (RI), ensuring integrated access to and optimized use of the services they provide. ATMO-ACCESS mobilizes extensive resources in the atmospheric RIs communities to engage into harmonizing access procedures in relation to policies, financial regulations and conditions for access.

As part of the Trans-National Access (TNA) activities in ATMO-ACCESS, CNR-ISAC provides the possibility to access research, technical and data supply services related to ground-based atmospheric observations at the three platforms composing the CMN-PV facility: the “O. Vittori "observatory at Monte Cimone, the CNR-ISAC OpenLab in Bologna and the atmospheric observatory at S. Pietro Capofiume.

Taking into consideration the restrictions related to the containment of the spread of COVID-19, for foreign users who will participate in the TNA program, it will be possible to access both by "traditional" physical and/or “smart” remote mode, the latter thanks to the constant support of the CNR-ISAC Technical Department.

The first call to participate in the ATMO-ACCESS TNA program is scheduled for October 2021.
