It is a station designed to monitor the complete balance of energy and water vapor exchanged between the surface and the atmosphere (eddy covariance system for turbulent flows). Installed at the Environmental Climatic Observatory of Lecce, it is composed of two complementary systems: telescopic pole and automatic weather station Telescopic pole with rapid response instrumentation (16 meters) equipped with: a 3D sonic anemometer (SOLENT-GILL RESEARCH) at 20 Hz , a rapid Krypton hygrometer, (CAMPBELL Kh20) a surface thermoradiometer (EVEREST 4000.4GL) a net radiometer, (MICROS RADNT) a thermometer and a hygrometer (ROTRONIC MP100) Automatic meteorological station composed of various sensors also dedicated to data acquisition in the first layers of the soil: In addition to a traditional cup anemometer, a barometer, a rain gauge, 2 temperature and humidity sensors at 2 different levels (ROTRONIC MP300) a photovoltaic pyranometer (CAMPBELL LI200X) and a net radiometer (REBS Q * 7.1) the station contains various underground sensors: 2 thermistor soil temperature sensors at 2 different levels (CAMPBELL 107L) 2 count sensors soil moisture (DECAGON EC-5) at 2 different levels 2 thermopile heat flow sensors (HUKSEFLUX) at 2 different levels. Since 2007, a MINISODAR has been active at the station for measuring vertical wind profiles in the boundary layer. The measurements are transmitted through the GSM network to the central server at ISAC-CNR (UOS of Lecce). The data can be consulted in real time on the web platform.
