Atmospheric composition, climate forcing and air quality

acronym
CAFCA

The science focus in this ISAC macroarea is the study of atmospheric composition change, with concern of gaseous and aerosol compounds exerting a climate forcing effect and/or of relevance for air quality. State-of-the-art experimental and modelling tools are employed to study the sources, dispersion and transformations of aerosols and gases (including water vapor) and exploring their sources, dispersion and transformations in the atmosphere, from the planetary boundary layer to the upper atmosphere, and from the local to the global scale.
