Precipitation monthly and daily gridded data (2000-2017) from PWM observations

Monthly precipitation for 2015 and daily climatology map

The new gridded dataset of precipitation provides global estimates of daily accumulated and monthly means of precipitation at 1° spatial resolution from 2000 to 2017. The precipitation estimates are based on merged passive microwave observations from conically-scanning imagers and cross-track scanning sounders operating on multiple Low Earth Orbit satellites.

This dataset has been produced with funding from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) which is implemented by ECMWF on behalf of the European Commission from a collaboration between DWD and CNR-ISAC under the C3S_312b_Lot1 contract.
