Institutional visit by the regional councillor Sandra Savaglio to the CNR-ISAC headquarter in Lamezia Terme: "Calabrian excellence"

The Regional Councillor for Research, University and Education of the Calabria Region Sandra Savaglio visited the ISAC headquarter in Lamezia Terme.

The visit allowed the councillor, an internationally renowned scientist, to learn more about the research activities carried out in the institute: from the measurements of natural and anthropogenic sources, useful for the observation of polluting and climate-altering dynamics, to specific atmospheric studies related to intense weather events.

They have been illustrated the activities of the Environmental Climate Observatory which contributes, together with 500 other observatories around the world, to the Global Atmospheric Watch of the World Meteorological Organization (Gaw-Wmo), for monitoring the state of the climate at a global level.

"Remain in Calabria - says Councillor Savaglio - can and must be done. Getting to know the many excellent realities more closely serves above all to guide our young people to stay and to invest in study and work for collective growth ».
