The EGU 17th Plinius Conference on Mediterranean Risks, co-organised by CNR-ISAC and sponsored by SERCO,  in the beautiful historical Villa Mondragone, near Frascati, Italy, ended today October 21, 2022. The 7 multi-sectorial Sessions on Mediterranean Risks distributed throughout the 4  full days of the Conference have brought together scientific experts in the fields of meteorology, hydrology, geomorphology, sociology, engineering, cultural heritage conservation, health, and also governmental or private risk management actorsDifferent aspects related to monitoring, assessment, diagnosis, prediction, and definition of weather extremes and hydro-geological effects, impacts on natural resources, agriculture, health and society, as well as adaptation capacity and preservation strategies for natural and cultural heritage at risk have been addressed

A Total of 115 attendees from Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States of America gathered and contributed to an interdisciplinary forum for discussions on our current state of knowledge of Mediterranean risks in a climate change context.
