LACOST (Coastal Atmospheric Laboratory, Saline di Tarquinia) in Lazio is a laboratory for atmospheric monitoring of the coast using innovative ground-based remote sensing instruments and turbulence sensors.

On the summer issue of the open-access Copernicus journal (I.F. 5.053) the 80 pages Review: Particulate matter, air quality and climate: lessons learned and future needs. (S.Fuzzi et al., 2015) ( .PDF). Besides the first author Sandro Fuzzi, CNR-ISAC institute is represented by 3 more researchers.
The Review gathers scholars from 11 institutes spread in 7 European countries.

iSPEX campaign in Rome

ISAC-Roma, together with the Research Area Tor Vergata organizes a citizen science campaign, from the 1st September until the 15th of October. The campaign is part of the European iSPEX project, proposed by the University of Leiden Netherlands) and uses small optical devices mounted on smart phones to measure the presence of aerosols in the atmosphere.
