The Raincast project aims at carrying out the scientific evaluation of future atmospheric mission concepts to monitor precipitatiom.  In this contract the objectives are:
1. Explore how data from the upcoming Arctic Weather Satellite (AWS) and EarthCARE can be exploited in an optimal way.
2. Explore enhanced microphysics characterisation by means of novel radar systems with frequencies between 110 and 300 GHz
3. Explore the potential/synergies between novel G-band systems in space in constellation/formation with passive microwave
