Hertfordshire, United Kingdom). The particles are collected directly in a 1.5 ml eppendorf vial for analysis by immunological or microscopic techniques.<br>Monitoring the atmospheric concentration of pollen grains and fungal spores (bioaerosol with particles of 5 &#8211; 100 \u03bcm size) can be realized with the volumetric Hirst type sampler (Lanzoni VPPS2000, 7 days) in respect of the UNI ISO 11108.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aerosol and Gas<\/strong><br>Two separate sampling heads are present for sampling of aerosols and gases and a quartz window for remote sensing measurements. (contact person&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.isac.cnr.it\/en\/users\/fabrizio-ravegnani\">F.Ravegnani<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meteorological Station<\/strong><br>An&nbsp;<strong>IRDAM WST 7000&nbsp;<\/strong>weather station is installed at 2 m above the lawn, west of the ISAC building, providing data for the verification of meteorological forecast (see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.isac.cnr.it\/en\/node\/13280\">Meteo ISAC<\/a>&nbsp;page)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Air Quality Measurement<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>ARPA-ER Supersite<\/strong><br>The air quality monitoring station is located inside the research area of CNR in Bologna, via Gobetti. The site is classified as urban background station. The activity of the measurement station began in November 2011, in the framework of the Supersite project of Regione Emilia Romagna. Measurements performed routinely at the station include PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 mass concentration, together with particle number size distribution from 3 m to 10 \uf06dm. PM2.5 samples are collected daily for the quantification of organic carbon, elemental carbon, ions, and metals. A High Resolution \u2013 Time of Flight &#8211; Aerosol Mass Spectrometer is deployed at the station to measure submicron particle chemical composition and chemical species size distribution at high time resolution (a few minutes). PM1 and PM10 size segregated samples are collected to analyze organic fuctional groups and size distribution of major chemical components (water soluble organic carbon, insoluble carbon, and ions).
