“SORBETTO: SOlar Radiation Based Established Techniques for aTmospheric Observations”

The school will be held in Rome from 14 to 18 September 2026 and is open to researchers, PhD students, and professionals involved in atmospheric observation techniques, regardless of career stage.

The event is organized by the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate of the CNR and SERCO, in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome, within the framework of the QA4EO-2 project funded by ESA.

Main topics will include:

• Ground- and satellite-based remote sensing
• Calibration and validation (Cal/Val) activities for satellite missions
• Photometry and spectrometry
• Practical hands-on exercises for educational activities
