Nov. 2014: the land-sea mask data and vegetation (open shrubland) added
(by Piero Malguzzi), for some of the Hawaii islands, into the original file 
veget_global_latlon_1km.bin.
The file with Hawaii included is now: veget_global_latlon_1km_Hawaii.bin
(some other not-so-small islands are still missing, for example Kerguelen
in the Indian Ocean).
The original vegetation file is kept in: veget_global_latlon_1km.bin

Nov. 2015: some elevation data in the Garda lake (Italy) have been corrected
in file orogr_global_latlon_1km_Garda.bin
The original topography file is kept in: orogr_global_latlon_1km.bin
