RESEARCH ACTIVITY
My research interests are in instrumental climate change.
I principally work on reconstruction and analysis of climate changes
in Italy and in the Greater Alpine Region in the past 200/250 years.
In particular, my research interests cover the fields of
reconstruction of the past climate;
homogenisation and quality check of instrumental series;
changes in daily precipitation frequency and distribution;
droughts and extreme events;
changes in cloud cover amount;
sea-level pressure variability and changes;
relationship between atmospheric circulation and regional climate variability;
solar signal in long climatic series.
