EMPLOYMENT
Since June 2004 he is Researcher at the ISAC-CNR institute of Bologna.
From June 1st 2003 to May 31st 2004 he was Research Assistant at the ISAC-CNR institute of Bologna.
From June 1st 2001 to May 31st 2003 he was Research Assistant at the Applied General Physics Institute of the Milan University.
From November 1st 2000 to April 30th 2001 he was Research Assistant at the ISAO-CNR
institute of Bologna.
From July 13th 2000 to September 15th 2000 he carried out a professional collaboration,
required by the Fisica Generale Applicata institute of the Milan
University, in order to apply the homonenity tests to Italian thermopluviometric series.
From May 15th 1999 to April 15th 2000 he got a CNR fellowship at the
ISAO-CNR institute of Bologna in the ambit of the topic "Ricostruzione della
variazione climatica dell'Italia attraverso l'analisi di serie storiche di
parametri meteorologici" (Reconstruction of climate variability of Italy
by means of the analysis of historical meteorological parameters series).
Between March and April 1999 he carried out a professional collaboration,
required by the Fisica Generale Applicata institute of the Milan
University, in order to accomplish a reference series to be used to
homogenise the Milan thermometric series.
From September 15th to November 30th 1998 he carried out a professional
collaboration, required by the FISBAT-CNR
institute of Bologna, with the purpose to complete the data-base relative to
the daily meteorological series of "Bologna Osservatorio Università"
station, which was provided in the special project "Reconstruction of the past climate
in the Mediterranean area".
In 1998 he partecipated to the collaboration among CNR (Istituto TESRE),
Dipartimento di Fisica Università di Bologna and ENEA
with the aim of installing a monitoring station of Environmental Radiation at Ny Alesund (Svalbard).

PRIZES AND AWARDS
He won a prize in memory of Prof. Giampietro Puppi, as best scientific paper produced by young researcher, in the frame of the "Convegno nazionale di Fisica della Terra fluida e problematiche affini" (Ischia, ITALY, 11-15 June, 2007)
He won the 2006/2007 Carducci prize assigned by the Lions Club of Castelmaggiore (Bologna)
He won the 2008 SIMA prize in memory of Prof. S. Palmieri, as best PhD thesys (11 February 2009, Roma)
PROJECT RESPONSABILITY AND COORDINATION
2007 - 2011 he is Italian member of the Management Committee for the COST Action ES0601 "Advances in Homogenisation Methods of Climate Series: an Integrated Approach"
2008 - 2010 he is scientific coordinator for the project "Sviluppo e verifica di tecniche di downscaling e calibrazione di modelli idrologici, sulla base di una griglia termo-pluviometrica ad altissima risoluzione (1km x 1 km) per gli ultimi 150 anni, per la valutazione dell'impatto dei cambiamenti climatici sulla risorsa idrica" in the frame of the framework programme agreement between the Dipartimento Terra e Ambiente of the CNR and the Centro Euro-Mediterraneo per i Cambiamenti Climatici
2011-2014 Partner of the European Commission 7th Framework Programme Project "Enabling CLimate Information Services for Europe - ECLISE" (project ID 265240). Coordinator: Roeland van Oss (NL).
