DREAMABOL is an offspring of BOLCHEM tailored to model mineral dust cycle (wind lift, diffusion, convection, advection, wet and dry deposition). The name is a tribute to DREAM (Nickovic et al, 2001) but the numerical code is written from scratch, making assumptions different from DREAM. Following the BOLCHEM philosophy of online coupling (Coupled Chemistry-Meteorology/Climate Modelling - CCMM). DREAMABOL is part of the SDS-WAS WMO programme on Sand and Dust Storm Warning Advisory and Assessment System where it runs operationally to produce a three-days mineral dust distribution over North-Africa and Europe
