Quarto Congresso Nazionale AISAM

Date

Il quarto Congresso Nazionale dell'Associazione Italiana di Scienze dell'Atmosfera e Meteorologia (AISAM) sarà ospitato dall'Università di Milano (presso l'Aula Magna dell'Università degli Studi di Milano in Via Festa del Perdono 7 - 20122 Milano) dal 15 al 19 febbraio 2022.

Il Congresso si propone come un momento di incontro per la comunità scientifica italiana che si occupa a vario titolo di scienze dell’atmosfera, meteorologia e climatologia e si configura come occasione preziosa per promuovere una riflessione su tematiche mai come ora attuali e urgenti.

Il Congresso si svolgerà in presenza per chi presenta interventi orali o poster e per chiunque desideri partecipare, con la possibilità per chi lo desidera di assistere ai lavori anche da remoto.

Oltre alle sessioni tecniche sono previsti numerosi eventi speciali aperti a tutti.

5th EUMETSAT H SAF User Workshop

The 5th EUMETSAT Satellite Application Facility on Support to Operational Hydrology and Water Management (H SAF) User Workshop, hosted by ZAMG and supported by EUMeTrain  will take place in online mode from January 24th, 2022 to January 28th, 2022

The workshop objectives will be:

  •  To introduce the H SAF products and their evolutions with respect to the future European satellite missions;
  •  The usage of satellite products for flood and drought monitoring and water resources management applications;
  •  To present use cases of the H SAF products in hydrological applications and emergency management in various regions, including Europe and Africa;
  •  To demonstrate how to download, process, and apply products for different goals related to water monitoring and water management applications, with examples over the European and African Regions;
  •  H SAF products quality assessment and applications.

PREPARARSI AGLI EFFETTI DEL CAMBIAMENTO CLIMATICO E PROTEGGERE IL NOSTRO PATRIMONIO NATURALE E CULTURALE

La tavola rotonda è organizzata nell’ambito delle attività di sensibilizzazione (Awareness Raising Event) previste dal progetto Interreg Central Europe STRENCH - STRENgthening resilience of Cultural Heritage at risk in a changing environment through proactive transnational cooperation.
L'evento mira a promuovere la cooperazione e lo scambio di expertise fra i diversi attori coinvolti nel processo decisionale a diversi livelli per la protezione e salvaguardia del patrimonio culturale a rischio per effetto di eventi estremi legati ai cambiamenti climatici.

La Tavola Rotonda sarà incentrata sui seguenti argomenti:

  1. Azioni durante e post emergenza: analisi degli errori e lezioni apprese durante l’esperienza sul campo.
  2. Principali lacune tuttora esistenti nella gestione dei beni culturali e paesaggistici a rischio a causa dei cambiamenti climatici dal livello regionale al nazionale.
  3. Piani di azione, misure e strategie per colmare e superare le lacune individuate.
  4. Integrazione di misure specifiche per la salvaguardia del Patrimonio culturale nei Piani Nazionali di adattamento e mitigazione ai cambiamenti climatici.

Green Conservation of Cultural Heritage Conference 2022 (Fourth Edition). Paths towards the sustainability of Cultural Heritage

February 3rd-4th 2022 – Rome, Italy

 WHY?

Thanks to the great success of previous editions (Rome 2015, Palermo 2017 and Porto 2019), the fourth Conference Green Conservation of Cultural Heritage is the real PLATFORM to show the EMPOWERMENT, the CHANGES MADE, and the promotion of INNOVATIVE GREEN TECHNOLOGIES applied to Cultural Heritage field.

The Conference will be an unconventional space to share innovations, experiences, research, to realize a technology transfer, to define green needs of companies, providing accessible learning opportunities for students and to improve own professional  skills and own green impact of cultural heritage.

Recordings videos will realize the Scientific Programme, and the conference time will be dedicated to the personal branding and the talk involving the attenders and their scientific contribution, realizing a real focus to expand collective action to respond to green approach to the cultural heritage.

 

AIM

The Green Conservation aims to accelerate the understanding of the concept of green, the development and implementation of eco-sustainable materials and methods, health safety, environmental protection, technologies applied to cultural heritage in museums, cultural sites, restoration activities, and, in general, applied to the Cultural Heritage sustainability.

In this context  a multidisciplinary approach represents the best way to improve the knowledge and to define the new strategies and opportunities to improve the conservation of cultural heritage and to protect operators and environment.

The event is organized by  YOCOCU APS in collaboration with Accademia di Belle Arti, CNR-ISAC, Dibest of University of Calabria, Sapienza University of Rome, IEMEST Institute, Fondazione Ecosistemi, Galleria Nazionale di Arte Moderna di Roma, Galleria Borghese Roma, University  Catholica (Porto) with the patronage of ENEA,  ICOM, SCORE and Tectonic Projects, and others private and public institutions.

1st Meeting on Mediterranean Cyclones and Aerosol

The 1st Meeting on Mediterranean Cyclones and Aerosol is jointly organized by the COST Actions CA19109 – MedCyclones “European network for Mediterranean cyclones in weather and climate” and CA16202 – inDust “International Network to Encourage the Use of Monitoring and Forecasting Dust Products”. The meeting will be held in Castro Marina, close to Lecce, in south-eastern Italy, from 20 to 22 September, 2021.
Participation will be limited to 20 persons at most, due to safety reasons and venue capacity. However, online participation is possible using GoToMeeting at this link.

We Change - XV Edition Compraverde Buygreen Forum

Date

Applications are officially open for We Change, the Compraverde Buygreen Forum's annual initiative to promote research and development of innovative solutions for the ecological transition of all production sectors. On 6, 7 and 8 October in Rome, at the Forum 2021, the section will be entirely dedicated to the identification of innovative solutions for the sustainable restoration of works of art and buildings subject to protection under Legislative Decree 42/2004. We Change is organised by Fondazione Ecosistemi in partnership with YOCOCU, YOuth in COnservation of CUltural Heritage, and CNR-ISAC, Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate.

The call is open to individuals, associations, research groups, teams of aspiring entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and start-ups of all sectors and nationalities.  The call is open for an idea for a sustainable restoration product or service to be developed and promoted or an existing product or service whose use can be rethought and adapted to support the ecological and just transition of the restoration sector.

Applications can be submitted online until 24 September.

With We Change, the forum rewards innovative ideas and the ability to implement them. In addition, it wants to contribute to the expansion of the offer of solutions for sustainability in organisations and in procurement, promoting the encounter between a qualified demand that is currently unsatisfied and the subjects able to offer suitable innovative solutions.

To apply, a video presentation of the proposed solution lasting no longer than 3 minutes and a description of the design status of the proposing party's solution will be required. The most innovative solutions will be able to participate in pitching sessions, in front of an audience of potential users (restorers and companies in the sector), developers, partners and media.

IV Convegno Nazionale di Radar meteorologia

La radar meteorologia tra scienza e resilienza dallo studio dei fenomeni estremi all’allertamento della popolazione

Il quarto Convegno Nazionale di Radarmeteorologia RadMet2021.IT  si terrà telematicamente a Firenze, il prossimo 6-8 luglio 2021.

Il convegno è organizzato dal Consorzio LaMMA Toscana e CNR Istituto per la BioEconomia (IBE) insieme con ARPA Piemonte, Arpae Emilia-Romagna, Dipartimento della Protezione Civile (DPC), l’Istituto di Scienze dell’Atmosfera e del Clima (ISAC) del CNR, CETEMPS e il Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione, Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni della Sapienza Università di Roma. 

Come nelle tre edizioni precedenti, RadMet2015.IT presso Roma Sapienza, RadMet2017.IT presso Roma DPC e RadMet2019.IT presso Torino Arpa Piemonte, questo convegno punta a stimolare il dialogo e lo scambio di esperienze tra le realtà che in Italia sviluppano e utilizzano, sia in ambito operativo che di ricerca, metodi radar per l’osservazione, l’analisi e la previsione di eventi precipitativi. Si solleciteranno, quindi, contributi per le sessioni tecnico-scientifiche nell'ambito delle seguenti tematiche di riferimento:
