European Year of Cultural Heritage - EYCH2018
2018 is the first European Year of Cultural Heritage (EU Decision 2017/864). The European initiative, born under the Italian Presidency, aims to raise awareness of the importance of European history and values and strengthen the sense of European identity, drawing attention to opportunities related to cultural heritage, but also to challenges, as environmental pressures on the landscape and on cultural heritage sites.
ISAC responding to this last challenge

The international conference took place in Krems (Austria) on 23 January 2018 and was included among the events of the European Year of Culture EYCH2018.
- participating in the European Civil Protection Forum taking place on 5-6 March in Brussels where the European Commission will present the new study "Safeguarding Cultural Heritage from Natural and Man-Made Disasters" commissioned to CNR-ISAC (coordinated by Alessandra Bonazza) by the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture.
